Fuego
Volcano, Guatemala. This 3,763 meter-high stratovolcano has erupted more than 60 times in
the past 500 years. Recent activity occurred in February 2002. Most of Fuegos
eruptions are vertical explosions from its summit crater seen in the foreground in the
left photo (Acatenango Volcano in the background). The right photo is the explosion cloud
from a 1966 eruption. Both photos
